The E39 M5 Vanos kits come with 16 Viton O-rings (enough for both solenoids) 2 solenoid cover gaskets and rebuilt splined gears. There is no need to rebuild the M5 vanos itself.

What is a Core Charge?

The core charge is $200. This is just for the splined gears if you choose to replace them.

Can I rent the tools required for installation?

We may offer a tool kit rental for the M5 installation. Special tools are not need for basic solenoid replacement.

Do you sell replacement solenoids?

Yes, please contact us if you need a new solenoid.

Can I replace the solenoid O-rings myself?

Yes, the installation document for removing and replacing the solenoids can be downloaded from the left sidebar.
